Outdoor Activities in Galveston, TX
When you step outside your Galveston getaway, you’ll have things to do from sunrise to sunset: Galveston is an outdoor enthusiast’s haven! Boating and Fishing in Galveston Bay
There’s great boating in Galveston Bay – at Offatts Bayou, a lovely estuary, you can take a scenic cruise on a paddlewheel boat or spend an afternoon watching for loons. Of course, fishing in the Gulf is not to be missed, though please remember to purchase your Texas fishing license before reeling in your fresh catch of the day. Drop your line off the seawall, head out on the bay, or even get out further from the coast for offshore fishing – you might catch kingfish, snapper, and even tuna.
Galveston in Winter
Like the migratory birds fleeing from cold winter weather, many people have made it their yearly routine to flock to Galveston in the winter. You too can deem yourself a “Winter Texan” and enjoy your very own vacation rental in Galveston while you’re at it! With year-round sun and a low annual temperature of 65°F, you won’t need anything more than a blanket to keep warm while you sleep. Is this starting to sound like heaven yet?
